Welcome to the blog where each Thursday I (Susan) show you some of our current inventory in the hopes something catches your eye, you arrange your day to check the item out in person and - best case scenario - you love it and buy it! You leave with a cool piece of furniture AND additional funds go to help support the programs and services at Outreach Community Ministries (our mission is to restore hope and provide opportunities to those most vulnerable in DuPage County)! Everyone's win!
I'm not sure how long these "manager's deal of the day" are going to continue (our prices are already so low!) - but there's a sign by the register this week proclaiming, "framed artwork & all lamps - buy 1 get 1 for $5 (2nd item much be of equal or lesser value)" as well as select hutches and china cabinets are $25. Wow!

unique three legged chair in good condition for $40
though this Ethan Allen sofa does need to be cleaned - it's a solid,
well made piece and has no other issues - priced $65
lovely brown (that leans a little towards purple) velvet Room & Board side chair.
Some wear but overall in great condition. Priced $125
though there's some wear and darkening on both these leather pieces - they're still in very good condition and priced super well. Sofa is $125 and the chair is $55
FANTASTIC curved curio cabinet - the shelves are adjustable - in
good condition for $125. This is a stunning piece!
AND there's a really cool lamp sitting on top of it - that's expensive ($93.25 and that's 25% off the original $130 price) but it's amazing and you can buy a second lamp for only $5!
Broyhill sofa and chair - again some wear but overall both are in good condition -

I noticed this "interesting" recliner a week ago but didn't take the time to look it over or test it out. Well I did last night and - OH MY GOODNESS - this thing is AMAZING! There's a zipper on the back that allows you to adjust the head rest/pillow and then there's a small lever on the right arm (right side when you're sitting in it) that allows you to recline as much or as little as you want. Seriously, there are a lot of options when reclining this chair! AND IT'S SO COMFORTABLE! Some spot cleaning needed (on both arms and where you legs/feet rest) but it's really incredible! Oh, and there's a "pocket" on one arm for...your remote? Cell phone? Priced $195

FABULOUS three piece corner glass, chrome and leather-like (I don't think it's real leather) writing surface - in excellent condition and priced $95 for the whole thing!
very nice student desk - measures 42" across and 21 1/2" deep -
with protective glass top - priced $65
two - two piece teak (maybe?) storage units. One has a pull out writing surface and that two piece unit is priced $65. The other two piece unit is priced $55 and that's 'cause it's missing one handle on the two drawer unit. Other than the missing handle - all four pieces are in good condition
this is a GORGEOUS glass top table by Cattelan Italia! Some minor dings in the wood that supports the top (second to last photo) but otherwise really a beautiful piece! Table top measures 42" x 76" and it's priced $125. And then there are six upholstered chairs - two with arms - priced $75 for all six. The low price reflects the fact that these chairs need to be professionally cleaned (in my opinion) but once cleaned - look out! - these are really amazing chairs

though there's some wear on this mission style leather recliner - it's FANTASTIC - priced $25 and I'm not sure why so cheap because I couldn't find any issues (other than the fact it needs to be
cleaned up - even dust/dirt on the leather but it seems to wipe right off)
AMAZING bench - one spot that needs to be cleaned on the upholstery (you can see it in the second photo) but otherwise in excellent condition (no rips in caning). Measures 42" across and is 15" deep and priced $35. NOT the most comfortable to sit on but would be perfect in an entry or mud room
two identical small sofas/loveseats - lovely floral design. Both are in
good condition and are priced $35 each
very nice plaid (LOVE the colors!) SLEEPER sofa (we don't accept many sleepers for donation these days which is why we don't have many in the store - so this is sorta rare) priced $55. I found a matching loveseat in another part of the store and will show you it later in this post - fyi
two piece storage unit. Two large file drawers and lots of shelves! Measures 6' across, is 19" deep and stands 6' tall. Priced $95 and there are scratches on the top of the credenza piece

I love, love, love this houndstooth upholstered Thomasville chair! Needs to be vacuumed and some spot cleaning - but, MAN, is this a beauty or what?! Priced ONLY $35
not sure what's with a bunch of our pieces needing cleaning (it's a screening question I ask) but when things come in with a few minor spots - we do put a lower price tag on 'em which results in some amazing deals for you (and, hopefully, is fairly easy for someone to rectify!). This is a wonderful chaise - but has several spots that need cleaning. Priced $55
cool 5' round glass top pedestal table for $135 - in excellent condition. Four upholstered dining chair - also in excellent condition - priced $100 for all four. Vase on table top is $10
I'm not sure what's with these wee little chairs - but they're AMAZING and WONDERFUL and such cool colors and PLAID (you know I love plaid!). And since they both sit low to the ground they're priced only $10 each! OH MY GOODNESS - so cute, so sweet, so CHEAP!
