Now that this rather odd 4th of July is over - not that I didn't enjoy the day but having it in the middle of the work week was kinda weird - let's get back to our regular routine, shall we.
I think I've started the last three or four posts with words along the lines of - Wow! My goodness! You're not gonna believe this! - and the reason is due to our incredible relationship with a bunch of casual furniture showroom managers at The Merchandise Mart and the unbelievable donations we have - and continue to - receive from them.
On Tuesday - yet another - truck full of inventory was picked up at The Mart so I'm starting this post with photos of SOME of what we currently have in our side yard. FYI - I've added descriptions when I thought it was necessary for clarification - otherwise simply look for a photo of the price tag which follows that of the piece of furniture. There are only so many times even I can say, AMAZING, NEVER BEEN USED, NEW FROM THE MART. Haha! Let's begin:
And now moving inside:
We made it, dear reader - to the bitter end! Good for us! Ha! See you next week!

There are only so many times even I can say, AMAZING, NEVER BEEN USED, NEW FROM THE MART. Haha! Let's begin:
there are a whole BUNCH of one-of-a-kind outdoor chairs that we're selling for $95 each
the taller back chair on the left of this photo is priced $95. The two matching
swivel chairs are priced $250 for the pair
note: though these chairs are very similiar in style and we're selling them as a pair - one is a stationary side chair and one is a swivel rocker
two matching "hammered" top metal outdoor side tables - $75 each
I just wanted to share that this MIGHT be the coolest chair EVER. It looks like it's made from tree branches but it's actually whatever that plastic like material is that used
with most outdoor furniture these days
that one descriptive/price tag shows you the price for ONE chair is $725. FOR ONE CHAIR!
And we're selling five of 'em and a table for $895!
And now moving inside:
this is a GORGEOUS antique blanket chest from the early 1800s! Measures 47 1/2" across by 19 1/4" deep and stand 27 1/4" tall. Priced $545 and the missing pull is in one of the drawers
lovely three piece, lighted, Thomasville wall/storage unit in
very good condition and priced $395
I LOVE this modern chrome and leather (I think - I wish there was an easy test to see if
something is real leather or faux) - in excellent condition and priced $125
two piece bench seating with a side table (could be configured differently then as shown - fyi) by Martin Brattrud, Inc. The company - located in Gardina, CA - was founded in 1946. The furniture they sell is the kind where they don't list pricing online but here are some other Martin Brattrud pieces on 1stdibs for some hefty prices. We're selling all three pieces for $195. Overall in very good condition though it's not the most comfortable thing you've ever sat on
beautiful Asian inspired one drawer side table with protective glass top for $55
rich looking brown velvet sofa by Paul Robert in excellent condition and priced $185
very cool rotating Asian style cabinet with storage on both sides and in
excellent condition for $85
for the first time ever - we received INDOOR merchandise from one of the showrooms at The Mart. These two matching stools are 30" from the floor to the top of the seat and are priced $275 for the pair. Again, these are showroom - never been used - pieces
the two linen stools are from the same showroom and are also 30" from floor to top of seat and are priced $125 each. The chrome and 30" round glass top cafe table is also
never-been-used from The Mart and is priced $495
lovely chaise for $185
the donor told me this was a black LEATHER wingback - but I'm not sure if it's REAL leather or faux (since I've already mentioned how hard it is to tell the difference - sometimes -
I'll not say another word). It's in very good condition and priced $185
super nice, excellent condition paisley slipper chair for $165
this is a fabulous wingback chair - some minor wear but otherwise in very good condition -
love the colors and the deep "wings" on it! Priced $95
okay - someone is gonna LOVE this peachy color leather chair (now this is going to sound crazy based on what I've said so far in this post about leather - but I would swear this is REAL leather). When you're seated in this chair you can push out with your back/bottom and the SEAT ONLY moves out a bit thus making it feel like you're kinda reclining. It's SUPER comfortable! If you look closely at my photos you can see where the bottom seat piece is flush with the arms and when it's sticking out from them. It's hard to describe but - again - it's extremely comfortable,
in excellent condition and at $65 it's not going last long!
small, lovely Drexel entry/sofa/hall cabinet - priced $55
I love, love, love this drop leaf pine table (on wheels)! Look at the square nails! Look at the sweet size! Priced $75. Retro table lamp (note: scratch in the base of it) for $25
large mirror with wrought iron frame for $45
media center - measures 64" across by 17 1/2" deep and stand 33 1/2" from floor to top -
good condition - priced $125
EXTRA deep Bernhardt sofa (seat ALONE measures 88" across by 34" deep) in good condition for $145. Matching chair and ottoman are priced $95 due to kitty cat scratches on the chair
and a round stain on the ottoman
wonderful curved front cabinet in good condition for $145
here's some additional INDOOR furniture that's new from The Mart! The wood on all four of these pieces match as does the upholstery fabric on all three stools - but the stools are all different styles (that's probably apparent and I didn't need to mention it - sorry!). We're selling the stools for $95 each and the table for $350. Like the eclectic look of the mismatched stools with the table?
You can buy all four pieces for $575 and save $60! Woot!
fabulous "fainting" chair - in good condition - for $195
also new from The Mart - again this is INDOOR furniture - 47" round table with two chairs (the darker tan chairs) for $645. ONE of the chairs was selling for $315!
six ladder back chairs with rush seats priced $65 for all six.
Table with two leaves for $35
how symmetrical (which is something I love)l! We started this post with inventory from The Merchandise Mart and now are ending with inventory from The Mart! We have a GORGEOUS 42" round cafe height wood table with glass top for $295. The four swivel chairs around the table - also from The Mart - are priced $95 each. And I know I'm repeating myself -
but this is INDOOR furniture
We made it, dear reader - to the bitter end! Good for us! Ha! See you next week!
